F1 Launch Delayed
The launch of the new F1 car has been delayed by 24 hours and will now take place on Saturday 30th January at the Auditorium "Enzo Ferrari" in Maranello.
No reason for the delay has been given and it is not known whether the project is seriously delayed or whether it is just to avoid a clash with a Fiat SpA news conference announced for the 29th.
The search for sponsorship to replace Aspreys continues. The recent announcement that McDonalds are considering Formula 1 sponsorship has sparked much discussion as to whether this could end up with Ferrari. The Mattel trademark is not likely to appear on the F1 cars because of restrictions on advertising childrens' products in close proximity to tobacco advertising (Marlboro).
The F1 launch will be shown live on the Internet.
