Montezemolo Takes Over Full Reins at Ferrari
29.9.99

Ferrari SpA President Luca di Montezemolo, 51, has been re-appointed managing director following Paolo Marinsek's recall to Fiat SpA to work on a new assignment, which has not yet been announced. He took over Ferrari's managing director post in February 1998, leaving Montezemolo with only the presidency.

Marinsek is a Fiat veteran who has served as head of the company's Termoli engine plant, Fiat Auto's operations in Poland, and Comau, the group's factory equipment subsidiary.

Before Marinsek joined Ferrari, Montezemolo had held the dual jobs of president and managing director since 1991.

Among those reporting to Montezemolo will be technical director Amedeo Felisa; production; quality and purchasing boss Franco Magagni; and sales and marketing chief Andrea Zappia.
