The outstanding qualities of Ferrari’s new top of the line model, the Enzo Ferrari, has once more been underlined in the latest issue (No. 12/2002) of “Sport Auto”, the leading German specialist magazine dedicated to sports cars. The extraordinary 650 bhp and 350 km/h "plus“
super sports car was voted into 1st place in the top category of Sport
Auto’s annual readers’ choice contest "Die sportlichsten
Autos 2002“ ("The most sporting cars 2002“), leaving
all competitors far behind. It is particularly remarkable that Sport Auto’s
readers voted so clearly for the Enzo Ferrari only a couple of weeks after
its official launch at the Paris Motor Show. Only 399 units of the dream
car will be made, and the strictly limited production — which will
start at the end of this year — is completely sold out already.
The list price of the Enzo Ferrari in Germany is € 645.000.
With an impressive 35,8 % of the readers’ votes, the Enzo Ferrari left the Porsche GT2 (13,1 %) and the Porsche Carrera GT (12,2 %) trailing on positions 2 and 3, respectively. Mrs. Bettina Lüttgen — press officer of the factory-subsidiary German importer Ferrari Deutschland GmbH of Wiesbaden — was handed the trophy during a prize-giving ceremony at the Motor Show at Essen/Germany on November 28, 2002. She received the award from Bernd Ostmann, supervising editor of the automotive field of Motor Presse Stuttgart (owner of Sport Auto magazine), and from Horst von Saurma-Jeltsch, Sport Auto’s editor in chief.
