Donington Italian Festival Details Announced

A unique weekend for owners and admirers of Italian cars
will take place at Donington Park on 31st Aug-1st Sept, which will combine
hands-on track day experience with a top-level programme of Italian motor
racing action. The Donington Italian Festival mixes classic and modern
motorsport, plus the opportunity for spectators to take to the famous
circuit themselves on the Saturday by pre-booking track time.
Demonstrations of F1 Ferraris and other special interest cars will add
to the excitement of the diverse programme of racing: from the Pirelli
Maranello Ferrari Championship to sports prototypes of the 1960s and 1970s,
through Alfa Romeo GTAs, Formula Junior and modern Italian production
saloons and a round of the BOSS F1 Championship.
The Donington Italian Festival will also feature a UK-hosted
World Abarth Meeting, with demonstrations of Abarth prototypes, sports
and racing saloon cars throughout the weekend.
Saturday 31st August - Track Day
Donington opens its gates to road cars in a pre-racing testing and track
day where motorsport fans can drive the circuit for themselves, in their
own cars, interspersed with demonstrations of 1960s and 1970s Abarth cars.

Sunday 1st September - Race Day
Full racing action from modern Ferraris to Historic sports prototypes,
and modern production saloons - plus a round of the BOSS F1 Championship,
demonstrations of modern Italian F1 cars, and the World Abarth Meeting.
