Ferrari has confirmed that it will build an extra 50 units of the new Enzo. The company was apparently pressured by long-time collectors angry because they could not get one of the 349 units originally planned for the Enzo. Each Enzo - priced in Europe at €665,000 - generates €487,700 in revenue for Ferrari. Ferrari will cash an unexpected €24.4 million by building an additional 50 Enzos. The operating profit on the extra cars will be even more substantial because the €20 million investment has already been amortized on the initial 349 units. Whilst the349 build plan for the F50 was adhered to, the F40 was another tipo that had the build extented. Initially planned for just 200 units it eventually went to over 1000.
