Sam Li's Veloqx team is continuing its preparations for its two-pronged assault on both the Sebring 12-hour race (with the Prodrive 550 Maranellos) and the FIA GT Championship (with the Team Maranello Concessionaires' 360 GTs).
This takes place on the weekend of 15/16 March and the combined Veloqx Prodrive squad are having a successful pre-race testing period. So far they are quickest in the GTS class but will face stiff opposition from the formidable Corvettes. The usual Prodrive pairing of Tomas Enge and Peter Kox will share one 550 with Veloqx driver Jamie Davies and the other will be driven by the Veloqx drivers Kelvin Burt and Darren Turner together with Prodrive man Anthony Davidson.
The team took one 360 GT to Barcelona on 6 and 7 March to continue its testing prior to the season-opener on 5/6 April. Drivers Jamie Davies, Tim Mullen, Kelvin Burn and Darren Turner shared testing duties. The team won the 2002 British GTO Championship title and are keen to expand their successes into the FIA GT Championship. They will campaign three Ferrari 360 GTs resplendent in their historic Team Maranello Concessionaires' colours.
