Fancy taking a closer look at some of the Ferraris that compete in our various Club championships? Thinking about maybe having a go? Want to find out more? Brands Hatch will host an innovative new racing car show on Saturday, December 4, which has been designed to let prospective motorsport competitors see exactly what various cars look like on track and even test them, as well as talk to championship organisers. Unlike other pre-season motorsport events, Race Car Live! will offer the unique opportunity for racing drivers to see demonstrations of the performance and characteristics of all the cars exhibiting and even "try before they buy", driving some of them in lapping sessions on the Brands Indy circuit, subject to advance booking with the teams and championships represented. Brands Hatch circuit owners MotorSport Vision are inviting the organisers of UK car race championships to display cars and championship information. Exhibitors will have a minimum of six scheduled 15-minute sessions throughout the day for demonstrations and test drives. The Ferrari Owners' Club, supported by Maranello Concessionaires, will be participating in the event with three cars from the Pirelli Maranello Ferrari Challenge and the Ferrari UK Classic Parts sponsored formula classic. With other championships such as Formula Renault UK, Formula Palmer Audi, Radical and Global GT Lights already signed up to exhibit at the show, Race Car Live! will offer a chance to evaluate some of the UK's best series. Anyone may attend Race Car Live!, though the event is primarily directed at those who are interested in competing in 2005. For members interested in Speed Events, the FOC hopes to repeat its successful Curborough Tuition Day in 2005 (details will be announced via this website as soon as they become available). Race Car Live! will be open to the public at a charge of £10 per adult (£8 in advance), so it's much better value than the Classic Motor Show! Children under 16 go free if accompanied by an adult. Entrance is free of charge to MSA competition licence holders, subject to registration on the day. Click here to register or buy tickets in advance.
