The eagerly-awaited auction of Ferraris and Maseratis on the 28th June at Fiorano moves a step closer with the release of the catalogue by Sotheby's. It can be downloaded from: http://search.sothebys.com/liveauctions/event/MI0250_Ferrari.pdf but beware - it's 268 pages and over 20 MB filesize! Whilst there are a lot of old second-hand bits from the racing team there are also some distinguished cars on offer, including a 750 Monza (s/n 0502M), 250 Boano (0429GT), 212 Inter (0193EL), Dino 246 SP (0790) and a 512S/M (1030). There are also a number of F1 cars available, although how a 328 and a GT4 crept into this esteemed company is uncertain. Inevitably, because this auction has been a long time in the planning, there are also quite a number of Maseratis on offer including the lovely 1957 450S Costin coupe once raced by Sir Stirling Moss. The 400th Enzo, which was presented to the previous Pope, will also be auctioned, with the proceeds going to the Caritas charity. Hard-back catalogues, inevitable collectors items, can be ordered direct from the Sotheby's website - click here.
