On Sunday at Magny Cours the FIA and British GT rounds were combined and Scuderia Ecosse achieved a great result with a one-two in the British classification and an excellent third and fourth in the FIA GT2 classification, with Nathan Kinch and Andrew Kirkaldy leading home their team-mates Chris Niarchos and Tim Mullen. As has long been predicted, and was certainly no surprise, the main event was a walkover for Maserati with their Enzo-based MC12s finishing in the first three places. Ferrari also suffered the indignity of being beaten by Chevie, with a Corvette leading home the Larbre Compétition 550Ms of Gardel/Lamy and Bryner/Calderari/Zacchia. The Russian Age Racing 550M of Bouchut/Fomenko/Vasiliev qualified on pole, but Bouchut lost the lead to Bertolini at the start, but stayed within contact and took the lead on lap 16. However, less than two laps later, contact with a Porsche gave the Ferrari 550 Maranello a puncture, and forced it back to the pits. Rejoining well down the field the car made a fine recovery, Christophe handing it back to his lesser talented Russian team-mates in fourth position. The car eventually finished 8th for the team's first point. The sole 575GTC was again beaten by its older sisters, with the G.P.C. Sport entry of Deletraz/Piccini classified 11th, 5 laps down and one place ahead of the Ecosse 360GTC of Kinch/Kirkaldy.
