We've
lost a bit of enthusiasm for GT racing this year as proper Ferraris are
being beaten by re-badged ones in GT1 and it hasn't helped that the Prodrive
MkII is badged an Aston rather than a Ferrari - mind you it's difficult
to see what even Prodrive could do with the somewhat corpulent 612 Scaglietti.
Maybe things will get better next season when Ferrari launch the GT2 430GTC.Round 7 took place at Oschersleben in Germany on 28th August and Masers finished 1-2 with formers Ferraristas Babini & Biaggi taking the win in their Vitaphone car. Deletraz & Piccini's GPC Sport 575GTC was best Fazza in sixth. Lamy & Gardel come home seventh in their Labre Compétition 550M (Prodrive MkI). Round 8 was at Istanbul
Park on 18th September and it must have been quite something to see the
GT cars going through turn 8! Again it was a Maserati whitewash with MC12s
taking the first three places. Top Ferrari was again Deletraz/Piccini
in fourth, with Lamy/Gardel sixth.
