After torrential rain in the penultimate round of the 2006 British GT Championship the sun shone for the final race of the season at Magny Cours yesterday.

The Ferrari pairing of Tim Mullen and Chris Niarchos knew all they had to do was bring their 430 GT home to take the title.

Taking no chances, they finished the race in fourth place in class, but second of the Championship entrants and so clinched the 2006 title, adding it to the one the Scuderia Ecosse team took in 2005 with Nathan Kinch and Andrew Kirkaldy.
