The annual Auto Italia Italian Car Concours at Stanford Hall was at least dry from above, but the ground was still waterlogged from all the previous rain. It was not very well attended and there were too many Puntos and not enough V12s! Star turn was a British GT spec Gallardo from Modena Engineering and a superbly presented F40 on the AutoItalia stand. The Maserati Owners Club held its annual concours - a couple of nice 3500S by Touring and an LHD Quattroporte (4 door) in cream in excellent order. There were 40 - 50 Ferraris in attendance - mostly modern tipi - 355s, 360s and 430s, but also a Dino, 275GTS, 330GTC and a black Daytona The multi -marque concours on the carriage circle in front of house included representation from De Tomaso, Alfa, Fiat, Lancia and Ferrari.
