Enjoy Ferrari, Sunday 3rd June 2007, Wyevale Garden Centres, Owermoigne, Dorset A new event, to be called "Enjoy Ferrari" will be held in aid of the Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. It will be a static show held on Sunday 3rd June 2007 between 11am and 5pm at the Wyevale Garden Centres Galton branch on the A352 Wareham Road at Owermoigne in South East Dorset. As the Event Organiser, I have invited members of the Ferrari Owners Club and the Pre-’50 American Auto Club as well as Bentley owners to show their cars in return for a £20 donation to charity. The show will be held in the extensive grounds at the Wyevale Garden Centres branch at Owermoigne near Dorchester, the same venue as the previous "Ride In A Ferrari" events. I intend to have four areas on the show day - one for each of the above makes or types of cars for people to Enjoy Ferrari, Enjoy Bentley and Enjoy Classic American Cars and a mixed area for owners of Porsche, Jaguar, Aston Martin and perhaps Mercedes-Benz cars, with owners being contacted individually or through their respective clubs. I intend to have a modest 15 cars in each section with the emphasis, as the name of the event would suggest, on Ferrari, with perhaps as many as 20 examples in that section. Enjoy Ferrari will be open to the public with an entrance fee of £8 per head to see what I hope will be up to 60 cars take part in the event in the extended grounds of the superb garden centre facilities with views from the top of the site overlooking South Dorset, although it is a steep climb! As an alternative to rides in cars, I hope to be able to let the public sit behind the wheel of a number of cars, perhaps for a photograph, and to sample what life on the open road in a car such as these, would be like, whilst taking to the owners. I am further hoping to have a small number of trade stands selling motoring-related memorabilia. There will be a Tom-Bola draw throughout the day with again, motoring-related prizes, as well as one or two donated items to make further money for the Jennifer Trust charity and for the Renal Unit at Dorset County Hospital who would get a one-third share of the profits made. I hope to make between £2,000 and £3,000 on the day for these worthy causes, so please give us your support .
