2.3.07
The second week of F1 testing at the Sakhir circuit has seen Ferrari on top all week, with Felipe Massa being quickest every day and finishing the last day (yesterday) with the best time of the week on 1:29.989. Kimi Raikkonen was second quickest on the first day, third on the second and fourth on the last, ending up fourth quickest overall with a 1:30.534. Massa attributed the Scuderia's improvement in form to set-up and aerodynamic changes - they ran an updated package on the F2007 this week. He reckons that they are now comfortably ahead of McLaren and Sauber-BMW. On Tuesday both drivers ran their respective engines to the end of their duty cycle, equivalent to two race weekends and both ran with fresh engines today. With winter testing now over the Scuderia will be concentrating on preparing for the trip to Australia. On Thursday 8th March at Fiorano, Luca Badoer will carry out the shakedown of the cars that will take part in the first Grand Prix of the year. The "averaging" technique previously employed confirms Ferrari's lead. To celebrate we thought we'd run a Ferrari-only galleria. Forza Ferrari!
