Of the many superb Ferraris entered for the 13th Annual Amelia
Island Concours last Sunday, one was particularly interesting
- the black and silver 212 Inter Coupé Ghia 0213 EL (pics
1&2), bought in 1952 and still in the hands of its original
owner. Mr. Rodolfo Junco de la Vega, a major Mexican newspaper
publisher resident in San Antonio, Texas, paid US$15,000 56
years ago for the car in Milan, acquiring it via race driver
Piero Taruffi, and has kept it ever since. The car is a true
time warp example and totally unrestored and has NOT been seen
in public for many decades. This car alone was worth the trip
from Switzerland to the USA!
