Cristiano Ronaldo is the latest to follow the footballerist's
tradition of buying a Ferrari and crashing it. As someone said, isn't
football a game that's supposed to require skill, judgement and co-ordination
etc?
This is shortened version of an article written by Ian
Dickson which first appeared on MSN
News, as did the pics.
"Manchester United football star Cristiano Ronaldo has crashed his
Ferrari 599 GTB in a tunnel near Manchester Airport.
The 23-year-old's Ferrari was badly damaged when it crashed at 10:20am
this morning on the A538 Wilmslow Road in Manchester.
Ronaldo was able to get out of the car and appeared to have no serious
injuries. However, the £193,000 supercar was badly damaged as it
collided with a roadside barrier.
The Portuguese player was on his way to training when his car crashed
in the tunnel that takes traffic under the airport runways between Wilmslow
and Hale, Cheshire.
Ronaldo was spoken to at the scene by police. His Ferrari was registered
in Portugal and is part of an impressive fleet of supercars the winger
owns including a BMW M6, Porsche 911 Turbo, Audi R8 and a Bentley Continental
GTC."
