At the Ferrari World Finals in Valencia last weekend, Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo took drivers Felipe Massa and new signing Fernando Alonso for a spin around the circuit in a new California. It looked like Luca chose to drive into a gravel trap to get closer to the fans, whereupon the sportscar promptly got bogged down....

It could have been clever marketing, as of course the Beach Boys did hail from California, or perhaps they were trying to sell it to the golfing fraternity - Alonso certainly looked to be Pringle clad. We wonder whether this will hasten the development of a 4WD option? The three were rescued by another California.
