The Risi Competizione Ferrari 430GTC of Jaime Melo, Gimmi Bruni and Pierre Kaffer won the GT2 class of the 12 Hours of Sebring last weekend; the first round in the 2010 American Le Mans Series.
This was Risi's third victory in this race in the last four years and was by the narrow margin of one lap ahead of the pair of front-engined BMW E92 M3 cars of Rahal Letterman Racing.
Three more Ferraris participated in the race: two from the team Extreme Speed Motorsport and the second car from the Team Risi Competizione. The best was Extreme car No.2, with the sixth place in class for Cosmo-Barbosa-Brown ahead of the Risi car of Krohn-Jonsson-Van de Poele. Less lucky was the Extreme car with Sharp-van Overbeek-Farnbacher, which had to retire due to mechanical problems after 271 laps.
The outright winner was the diesel Peugeot 908 HDI FAP driven by Ferrarista Marc Gené and another two former Formula 1 drivers, Alex Wurz and Anthony Davidson.
