250 GTEs were unloved in their day and subsequently shunned by collectors. Many of them ended up as cheap donor cars for fake GTOs and SWBs, but a recent barn-find has certainly surprised a few when it was sold at auction for just over £100,000, with a pre-sale estimate of £40-60,000.
