Top Gear viewers may remember Richard Hammond taking Austrian artist Johannes Langeder's pedal-powered replica of a Porkie "Ferdinand GT3 RS" for a lap around the famous Dunsfold track. Well now he's built the "Fahrradi Farfalla FFX" (pic).
In addition to on-the-road and studio shots Langeder's Flickr site shows lots of construction pics of the Fahrradi revealing how he and his team of craftsmen created a real car-sized vehicle light enough to power with pedals. It's an astonishing piece of art and engineering. There's also a funny video on YouTube. On his website Langeder states that: "Unlike Ferdinand....the Fahrradi is not a copy of an existing car model, but rather the anticipation of a future top model of an actually existing automobile brand". Can't imagine who....
