360 GTs in Preparation
7.4.00

Two separate teams have announced plans for customer 360 Modenas prepared for the FIA GT Championship.

At first it was thought that only the JB competition team was working on such a project. JB are better known as the team that has successfully competed in the SportsRacing World Cup with the F333 SP. Ex Formula One driver, Jean-Pierre Jabouille has just left the team and it will now be re-named JMB Competition after its co-founder Jean-Michel Bouresche, who has now assumed sole control. For 2000 the team will continue with its 333SP programme (it won the opening round at Barcelona) and also with the preparation of a series of 360 GTs.

Simultaneously, Ferraris’ in-house tuning shop, Michelotto, have announced that they, too, are preparing a series of 360 GTs aimed at privateers in the various GT championships springing up around the world. Michelotto are well-known for having developed and supported many of the various customer racing efforts in the past, including 308 rally cars, F40 LMs, the aborted F50 GT programme and latterly the 333SP Evoluzione.
