Honorary Degree for Montezemolo

The President of the Ferrari-Maserati Group, Luca di Montezemolo, yesterday received an honorary degree in Mechanical Engineering in Modena

The presentation took place at the new site of the University of the Emilian city, in the presence of the President's family (his father Massimo, mother Clotilde, wife Ludovica, children Matteo and Clementina and brothers Daniele and Marco), the Minister of the University and of Scientific Research and Technology, Ortensio Zecchino and several representatives of the civil authorities, the military and religious representatives and many of the students.

"This degree is a great and profound honour, given in recognition of the responsibility for both these companies which have reached levels of excellence on both road and track," said the newly "qualified" engineer.

"Thanks to the work of exceptional people, first and foremost Enzo Ferrari, to whom I owe everything, for what he taught me and for having the courage to take me fresh from college and throw me into the world of competition. Ferrari taught me a very important thing; that one should always look forward and never give in to adversity."
