This Stuff Sprays Better
You may have noticed at the recent Australian Grand Prix that, at the woeful waste of champagne stage, the spray had a different pattern than in the previous year. This is because Mumm Cordon Rouge is now the new official champagne supplier, instead of Moet & Chandon.
Undertaking this strong commitment in the most prestigious of motor sports has been a natural step for Champagnes Mumm to take. The high international profile given to F1, particularly with the return this year of the US GP at Indianapolis, ties in perfectly with the brands strategy geared to establishing its standing in its key markets world-wide.
Jean-Marie Barillère, C.E.O. of Champagnes Mumm, stated : " This new involvement in F1 illustrates our commitment to building the Mumm Champagne brand. Mumm Cordon Rouge champagne has such a dynamic image, that it simply had to be involved in such a high powered and challenging discipline ".
Mumm champagne will now stand on the podium alongside the winners at each Grand Prix of this year’s season. From now on, both drivers and constructors will celebrate their performance with Mumm champagne.
Mumm is the number 3 champagne world-wide and was acquired by Hicks Muse in July 1999. Mumm champagnes are currently distributed by Seagram throughout he world.
You will of course remember that Raymond Mays, the ultimate British hillclimber and founder of the “English Ferrari”, BRM, had two Bugatti Brescias, Cordon Bleu and Cordon Rouge. Therefore in many ways a glorious circle has now been completed.
