At the end of the first season of European 360 racing various teams
are now disposing of their cars in order to make room for new ones for
the 2001 season.
The indications are that Ferrari UK will run no less than ten customer
cars in Europe next year and in the meantime a number of 2000 model
Challenges have appeared for sale in the specialised press at an asking
price of £105,000. Trade sources indicate that values will fall, however,
after the final round of the 360 Challenge in Mugello at the end of
October when a whole raft of cars is expected to become available.
At least one car is thought to be heading for the UK's Pirelli Maranello
Ferrari Challenge and it is rumoured that further cars will follow suit.
As the 355 Challenge has already shown itself to be an overall race
winner during the 2000 season the considerable power-to-weight advantage
of the 360 version will make it a certain race winner in the right hands.
